12.11.11 Excellent season for Blusens in MotoGP

The fourth victory of the season for Maverick Viñales in the GP of Valencia put a finishing touch to the excellent 2011 season for the Blusens team.

A total of 4 wins and 8 podiums with three different drivers plus the presence of Paris Hilton put the team as one of the highlights of the paddock.

Santiago de Compostela, November 7, 2011. Blusens, the Spanish multinational manufacturer of latest generation consumer electronics, makes an excellent balance of the company’s sponsorship in MotoGP. This sponsorship, translated into support of the team BQR that participates as Blusens by Paris Hilton in 125cc and as Blusens STX in Moto2, fulfills his fourth and most successful season in the World Championship with a trajectory that makes the team a reference in the private teams.

Blusens wants to give its warmest congratulations to all the BQR team, both pilots, mechanics, managers and all who make up this structure for their dedication, professionalism, expertise and enthusiasm. We extend the congratulations to those who have been part of the team during these years and for different reasons took other paths. We would not end a balance of the season without a special memory for Joan Xufré, good professional and better person, who until his death in July this year was BQR’s press chief.

This year the team has achieved 4 wins and 8 podiums due to the excellent performance of all its drivers, emphasizing of course the very young Maverick Viñales, who in his first year at the World Championship has already become a reference, with a career that can only be described unbeatable, achieving the third place in the 125cc World Championship because of his 4 wins and 5 podiums, becoming the Rookie of the Year in the category and winning the last 125cc race in history. He has also been awarded the Michel Metraux Trophy, voted by the pilots themselves, which determines who was the best driver in 125 cc and Moto2. Therefore Maverick was one of the leading players in the awards ceremony of FIA Awards held yesterday in Valencia. “Mack” will continue linked to the team the next two seasons, and will undoubtedly be one of the top names in Moto3, category that replaces the 125cc where our pilot is the rookie with the highest number of points obtained in all history in 125 cc. The 248 points scored by Viñales after his victory in Valencia, widely overcame the 202 achieved by Marco Melandri in the 1998 season that, until the arrival of Maverick, made him the highest scoring rookie. As if this were not enough, Viñales is also the youngest Spanish rider to get a GP victory and the world’s youngest rookie in 125cc to win two consecutive GPs.o

Additionally, the presence of the celebrity Paris Hilton on the 125cc structure created an expectation around the team that transcends the world of motorcycling, making the Blusens by Paris Hilton recognized in countries with little tradition of motorcycle races. Paris Hilton was present in both GPs of Catalunya and Valencia, with the fortune of sharing great performances of the pilots, to the point of getting on the podium for the team trophy as winners in the GP of Valencia.

Blusens has already become one of the most loyal sponsors of the paddock’s World Championship, being recognized worldwide for our commitment to a sport that brings together worldwide to over 160 million viewers in each GP, of which more than 5 million viewers only in Spain. The link between Blusens with motorcycling has an intense relationship with the corporate values of the brand by bringing technology and human talent in a spectacular sport with dedicated followers of all ages.
